February 23, 2023 – Flagler County officials are advising residents that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is to hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 1 (Wednesday) about project plans on State Road 11 from the Volusia County border to U.S. 1 in Bunnell.
Current project plans are to repave State Road 11 to extend the life of the roadway and intersection improvements at County Road 304, including the evaluation for a roundabout there.
“The Florida Department of Transportation is holding this public meeting to present information and receive community feedback,” said Flagler County Engineer Faith Alkhatib. “It is important for our residents to participate and provide their input about FDOT’s plans and the evaluation for a roundabout at Cody’s Corner.”
FDOT is offering a variety of ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of which platform they choose, will participate in the same live meeting.
Available platforms are as follows:
- Virtual Option – those who are interested joining from a computer, tablet, or mobile device at 5:30 p.m. should register in advance at bit.ly/3GYYhXk. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Chrome or Microsoft Edge are the choice internet browsers to register and attend this meeting. Please allow adequate time to logon to view the presentation in its entirety.
- Phone Option (listen only) – participants may listen to the meeting by dialing 1-866-901-6455 and entering the passcode 246-541-017 when prompted.
- In-Person Open House Option – participants may attend in person by going to the Haw Creek Community Center, 9257 County Road 304, Bunnell, anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.
