May 2, 2022—Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches, Flagler County’s Tourism Development Office, will celebrate National Tourism and Travel Week (NTTW), the annual celebration of the contributions of the U.S. travel industry, May 1-7. The 39th annual NTTW arrives as the industry looks ahead to future growth and success following the challenges of the past two years.
To mark the week-long event, Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches office is honoring the hospitality and travel professionals who are integral to the success and future success of the industry in Flagler County. As a thank you, tourism staff will distribute eco-friendly gifts to industry workers throughout the county. A special blog post and video will also highlight a handful of local professionals, and will be published on the official tourism website which can be found here.
“Our hospitality professionals have gone above and beyond to create wonderful experiences for both visitors and residents, despite the challenges of the past two years,” said Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches Executive Director Amy Lukasik. “It is our privilege to celebrate these individuals for their hard work and dedication. We invite our residents, visitors, and partners to join us in thanking these professionals for their efforts.”
Travel and tourism significantly affect the economy of Flagler County, supporting nearly 5,000 jobs, generating over $4 million in economic impact from visitor spending and bringing in over $3.6 million in bed tax revenue, a 52% increase in fiscal year 2021.
