Virtual and In-Person Hearings scheduled for April 20 and 21
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled a Hybrid Public Hearing for Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21, to discuss the transfer of jurisdiction of State Road 5A from State to City of St. Augustine jurisdiction, locally know as King Street and Cathedral Place. Also included at this meeting is the design plans for the SR-5A (King Street) Bridge Replacement over San Sebastian River.
The virtual public hearing on Wednesday, April 20, will be held from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Register for the virtual public hearing at www.nflroads.com/vph. Connect via telephone to the virtual public hearing by calling 904.614.3221 and use access code 859-053-332.
The in-person public hearing on Thursday, April 21, will be held at First United Methodist Church of St. Augustine, 118 King Street, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, with public comments starting at 6:00pm.
The FDOT project team and the contractor will be available to answer questions about the many components of the project including design schedule, proposed configuration of travel lanes, sidewalks, lighting, and bridge rail.
