Flagler County Public Schools issued the following announcement on March 23.
At the March 22, 2022, School Board meeting, members of the Flagler County School Board took time to recognize employees, students, and organizations for their great work in and out of our campuses.
First up was Ron Crowley. Ron has been a custodian at Buddy Taylor Middle School for nearly 30 years. He was recently named the 2021 Rock Star Custodian in a nationwide contest. Ron won with the great community support who logged on and placed their vote.
Next, the Board congratulated Ashley Osland, a digital design student at Flagler-Palm Coast High School. Her design was chosen to be the cover of the 2022 Flagler County Voter’s Guide.
Finally, School Board members heard a short presentation from Youth Advocacy Day in Tallahassee. In partnership with Focus on Flagler Youth Coalition and Flagler Youth Center, middle and high school students met with Legislators regarding the importance of prevention of tobacco, vaping, and substance abuse.
