On-site D-SNAP interviews made available to Flagler residents Thursday through Saturday at St. Johns County Fairgrounds

October 25, 2022 – Flagler County residents who pre-registered online for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) but did not have a chance to complete their D-SNAP phone interview can visit the D-SNAP location in St. Johns County for an on-site interview. Additionally, those who missed the initial D-SNAP pre-registration opportunity for that is now closed, can pre-register when it is reopens on October 27 and then attend the in-person event for their required interview.

The Department of Children and Families announced Tuesday that the location it is setting up Thursday through Saturday at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds is open to Flagler County residents. D-SNAP provides food assistance for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Ian and who are not receiving food assistance benefits through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

“It is wonderful that our neighbor to the north is welcoming our residents,” said Health and Human Services Director Joseph Hegedus. “This is a great service for those who have not been able to complete their phone interviews or missed the pre-registration window that closed October 23.”

On-site interviews are not required if a phone interview was completed.

The on-site D-SNAP will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, October 27, through Saturday, October 29 at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, 5840 State Road 207, Elkton.

Additional information about D-SNAP:

  • Current SNAP recipients are not eligible for D-SNAP and should not attend the on-site D-SNAP location.
