East Flagler Mosquito Control District to spray Daytona North Tuesday night into Wednesday

September 20, 2022 – East Flagler Mosquito Control District has assessed and will spray in the Daytona North area Tuesday night into Wednesday (2 to 6 a.m.) at the request of Flagler County.

“Flagler County government partners with the East Flagler Mosquito Control District that provides varying levels of mosquito monitoring and suppression services within areas of the county that are not within the district’s boundaries,” said Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord, who is liaison with the district. “Following multiple mosquito complaints received in the area, we have asked the district to assess and, if appropriate, treat within Daytona North.”

Residents countywide can visit www.FlaglerCounty.gov/Mosquito or call the district directly at 386-437-0002 to report mosquito problems or concerns.

“This is true even if you do not live within the East Flagler Mosquito Control District’s boundaries,” Lord said. “However, please be aware that the services available will vary depending on where in the County you live and the taxing district of your home.”

East Flagler Mosquito Control District includes a geographic area primarily in the eastern, more densely populated side of the County. Property taxes are levied by the district, which is an independent taxing district serving:

  • Flagler Beach
  • Beverly Beach
  • Marineland
  • Most of Palm Coast
  • Parts of eastern Bunnell
  • Parts of eastern unincorporated Flagler County
