Why does Flagler Schools still want families to submit a Free and Reduced Price Meal Application for the current school year?
Federal funding for our school district is based on enrollment, and free/reduced price meal data! Many families who would normally qualify for meal benefits have not applied this year. This could impact funding for Flagler Schools.
Completing the application takes less than ten minutes.
Only one application is required per household.
Submitting a Free and Reduced Meal Application may help provide:
- State and federal funding for school budgets
- Discounts on technology and/or internet services
- Discounts on SAT and ACT fees
- Resources for classrooms, teachers, and students
- Pandemic-EBT eligibility
- Summer enrichment programs
- Free/reduced meal status 30-day rollover for the 2022–23 school year
