City of Augustine: Bike Week in Daytona Beach brings increased motorcycle traffic to downtown

13

City of Augustine issued the following announcement on March 3.

City creates dedicated parking spaces, fees remain in place

The City of St. Augustine will designate parking spaces for motorcycles along Cathedral Pl. between Charlotte St. and St. George St., starting no later than Thursday, March 10 through Sunday, March 13, in anticipation of increased motorcycle traffic due to enthusiasts visiting the area for Bike Week, Daytona Beach’s annual event. Please note that parking in this location will not be available on the morning of Saturday, March 12 due to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Parking fees remain in place. So, those using the designated parking area may want to take advantage of the ParkStAug mobile app, which is available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, to pay for parking. Standard pay stations will be in operation to pay for parking, as well.

Areas set aside for motorcycle parking will be designated with traffic cones and signs stating that those using the space must pay to park.

Questions may be directed to the City’s Parking Division at 904.825.1090 or via email.
