County of Flagler issued the following announcement on March 2.
March 1, 2022 – Flagler County on Wednesday launched a new digital magazine “Coast to Country” to keep residents and visitors informed about the programs, projects, and services that elected officials provide countywide.
“We are very pleased about presenting our new magazine to the public. It’s been a long time coming,” said County Administrator Heidi Petito, who has been imagining and implementing ways to better communicate with the public since being named to her post. “We wanted something that would be dynamic – a departure from the way we typically present information to the community. It’s important for all our elected officials to have a voice in one forum to reach our residents.”
It is available at https://www.flaglercounty.gov/departments/administration/communications-office/coast-to-country-digital-magazine.
The first issue of this quarterly publication paints a picture of the county overall, starting with some of the bigger projects – like strategic planning and beach renourishment – and moving into the vision for 2022 of the Board of County Commissioners, municipal mayors, and finishes with some insights into Flagler County’s constitutional offices. Legislative priorities and educational landscape within Flagler Schools are discussed.
“One of the goals of the magazine is for residents to better understand how all of Flagler County’s governmental entities are intertwined to represent our citizens to provide services,” Petito said. “As with any new baby, we look forward to fostering its growth.”
