St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce: Food + Wine Festival, May 4 - 8, 2022 - Announces Advance Discount Tickets

St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on November 22.

The second annual St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival, recently named “One of Florida’s Top 10 Food & Wine Festivals” by USA Today, will take place on Florida’s Historic Coast, May 4 – 8, 2022. The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival, presented by Publix GreenWise Market, will once again be a showcase of culinary, beverage and culture that highlights celebrity guest chefs, local chefs, celebrity winemakers/proprietors, artisans, farmers, local craft spirits and beers, along with renowned wine, spirits and beer brands from around the globe. The inaugural festival offers a wide variety of events for all tastebuds and budgets, from wine dinners and tasting events, to master classes and more.

 

The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival has expanded to a five-day food and drink festival, May 4 – 8, 2022 with two new events taking place in the historic district and the rest of the festival events taking place at the host location sites, the World Golf Hall of Fame and the Official Hotel partner, World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort. There are two off-site Epicurean Master Classes on Friday, May 6, 2022 taking place at St. Augustine Distillery and Chop Shop Artisan Butcher.

 

The World Golf Hall of Fame and the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort, St. Augustine are the host location sites for the 2022 festival, located 20 minutes north of historic downtown St. Augustine and the beaches. The festival is being made possible in part by support from St. Johns Cultural Council and a 2022 St. Johns County Tourist Development Grant.

 

Early Bird advance discount tickets are on sale now, with up to 33% savings on some festival events, with limited ticket availability for a limited time - Early Bird discounts end December 31, 2021. The festival will partner with several local, non-profit organizations on various events. The World Golf Hall of Fame and Jan Stephenson’s Crossroads Foundation are the festival’s two primary 501(C)3 charity partners, with 100% of the live and silent auction proceeds from the festival benefiting the charities.

 

NEW this year, the Saturday, Main Event tickets and VIP Lounge tickets will include RFID wristbands pre-loaded with $10 in culinary credits. Additional culinary credit re-loading kiosks will be located throughout the festival (each culinary credit equates to $1 value); culinary station menu items will vary from $1 - $8 in pricing.

Wednesday, May 4, NEW EVENT, “River Walk Tastings” in the historic district at San Sebastian Winery and the Homewood Suites St. Augustine San Sebastian, 6:30 - 9 pm, with trolley shuttle, live music and food and drink tastings at both venues.

 

Thursday, May 5 – “World Golf Hall of Fame Winemaker’s Dinner”

6-7 pm Reception; 7-10 pm Dinner, St. Johns County Convention Center

500 S. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL, 32092. A gourmet food lover’s experience with a six-course dinner, featuring three guest celebrity/James Beard Foundation award-winning and nominated chefs and three local chefs will each prepare a course as well.

 

Friday, May 6 – “Epicurean Master Classes”

Two Classes: St. Augustine Distillery and Chop Shop Artisan Butcher in St. Augustine

Four Classes: St. Johns County Convention Center Classes, World Golf Village

A series of interactive and intimate sessions with guest celebrity chefs, beverage experts, tastemakers, artisans and more. *Chef/Author Demonstration Classes will include an autographed copy of cookbook per ticket purchase transaction.

 

Friday, May 6, 6:30 – 8:30 pm - “Smoke on the Walk”, Walk of Champions, World Golf Hall of Fame

1 World Golf Place, St. Augustine, Florida, 32092. This BBQ Extravaganza is a showcase of the southeast’s most celebrated Pitmasters and grill masters with wine, beer and spirits along the Walk of Champions with live music. Enjoy unlimited beverage tastings in a souvenir glass, along with delicious grilled, smoked and roasted gourmet BBQ bites – all included with ticket price. *FREE parking, 21 & older only event, no pets allowed.

 

Saturday, May 7, 8:30 – 11:30 am, “Rise & Shine”

Villagio Grille, World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort, 500 S. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, Florida, 32092; Light breakfast bites and a choice of Mimosa, Sparkling Wine or Bloody Mary. Fantastic eye-openers to start the day off right – and a great way fuel-up for the main event!

 

Saturday, May 7, 1 – 4 pm, "St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival", Main Event

Walk of Champions, World Golf Hall of Fame.1 World Golf Place, St. Augustine, Florida, 32092

A fun afternoon of culinary and beverage tastings, with live music in the beautiful surroundings of the Walk of Champions, the centerpiece of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Tickets include a souvenir glass for unlimited beverage tastings from hundreds of wines, beer and spirts exhibitors, and each guest will receive an RFID wristband pre-loaded with $10 in culinary credits which will be used for admission and to purchase additional culinary tasting credits. Tasting and Music Stages throughout the event.

World Golf Hall of Fame, Walk of Champions and Kelly Field – VIP Lounge Tent, 1 World Golf Place, St. Augustine, Florida, 32092. The VIP Lounge is an exclusive, catered VIP Lounge experience, limited number of tickets available. The Hall of Fame-VIP Lounge ticket also includes full access to the general admission St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival area on the Walk of Champions.

 

Saturday, May 7, 6 pm, NEW EVENT, "Preserved Restaurant Wine Dinner”

A very limited seating opportunity for only 50 lucky guests, includes a special four-course dinner, with wine pairings. Preserved Restaurant, Executive Chef, Brian Whittington will be cooking alongside some of the festival’s celebrity guest chefs for a very memorable evening for all in attendance. A special winery guest will be announced soon.

 

Sunday, May 8, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, “The Jazz Brunch” (Family-friendly event); three seated reservation times, St. Johns County Convention Center, 500 S. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL, 32092

This lively Jazz Brunch happens to fall on Mother’s Day in 2021! Each special lady will be greeted with a rose to start their day off right, along with a souvenir tasting glass. The Jazz Brunch is one like no other with an all-inclusive priced ticket featuring live music, brunch buffet with carving station, indulgent sides, made-to-order omelet station, seafood station and a variety of desserts (something for everybody!). Bloody Mary Bar, Champagne, Mimosas and a host of unlimited beverage stations from the festival’s wonderful partners include wine, beer, spirits beverage tasting stations inside the brunch – coffee, iced tea and soft drinks beverages included. Mom and the entire family will enjoy being spoiled with the special treatment at The Jazz Brunch on this Sunday finale festival event!
