City of Augustine issued the following announcement on October 6.
Site is a Partnership of Flagler Health+, the City of St. Augustine and Ivy Medical
Due to the steady decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases reported in St. Johns County, the COVID testing site that opened in August in Downtown St. Augustine, will be ceasing operations on Thursday, Oct. 7.
The testing site, which was a partnership between Flagler Health+, the City of St. Augustine and Ivy Medical, offered free COVID-19 testing to members of the community.
“We are grateful to have been able to partner with the City of St. Augustine and Ivy Medical in providing this vital service to our community,” stated Flagler Health+ President and CEO Jason Barrett. “The opportunity to provide testing was an integral part in helping slow the spread of the virus over the past few weeks.”
According to the Florida Department of Health, last week saw 9.5% case positivity (a total of 607 cases) in St. Johns County, compared to 24.2% case positivity (a total of 1,740 cases) the first week in August 2021.
