March 6, 2023 – Save the date, March 25, for the “Warbirds Over Flagler” at the Flagler Executive Airport. Gates will open at 10 a.m. for this family-friendly event offering something for everyone.

“This thrilling event brings together some of the most historical and impressive aircraft from WWII to present day,” said Flagler Executive Airport Director Roy Sieger. “There is no admission fee, only a $5 charge for parking.”

The air show, which started in March 2010 as “Wings Over Flagler,” is known for its static vintage and modern military aircraft and vehicles, warbird flybys, helicopter rides, music, and plenty of food and beverage vendors. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the pilots and learn about the history of the aircraft.

“We’ve had a couple of name changes – Freedom Fest, of course, the last and named that way because we held it in conjunction with Veterans Day – and decided to change it back to something closer to the original since we moved it back to March after the two hurricanes,” Sieger said. “But no matter what time of year we have the event, it’s always appropriate to celebrate the freedoms we have here in the United States and honor the men and women who fought for them.”

Schedule of Events:

  • 10 a.m. – Gates open
  • All day – Vendors and static displays are open and available with a backdrop of music
  • Noon – Opening Ceremonies
    • Presentation of Colors
    • National Anthem
    • Remarks by Board of County Commissioners Chair Greg Hansen
    • Flyby Warbird Parade
  • 1 to 6 p.m. – RC aircraft demonstrations and Warbird Flybys
  • 6 p.m. – Gates close
